Call for Artists: The Art of Upcycling Exhibition
The Pitt Meadows Art Gallery invites artists and artisans to submit their upcycled artwork and products for our upcoming Art of Upcycling Exhibition running from March 14 to April 19, 2026. This exhibition celebrates the ingenuity of transforming discarded or waste materials into artwork that gain a new life, purpose and beauty.
Criteria
- All submitted work must be available for sale.
- All work must be created primarily from upcycled materials. Up to 10% new materials may be incorporated when necessary for structural integrity or finishing.
- All pieces must be exhibition-ready:
- Wall-mounted works must include proper hanging hardware.
- Sculptural or 3D works must be able to stand safely and independently, with or without additional support.

- Notification: All applicants will receive an email regarding the status of their application by Friday, February 6, 2026.
- Drop-Off of Accepted Works: Scheduled between Sunday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 4, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Handcrafted Gifts – A Holiday Exhibition - Main Gallery
The Pitt Meadows Gallery invites artists and artisans to apply to showcase their artwork and/or locally produced, handmade items for our upcoming holiday exhibition, Handcrafted Gifts, (formerly called 'That’s a Wrap'), running from Saturday, November 8 to Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
‘Handcrafted Gifts’ will feature a curated collection of giftable artwork and fine crafts to suit all budgets and gift-giving needs. We are seeking high-quality, unique, handmade items that cover a variety of media in the following categories: art, jewelry, clothing & accessories, home & living, bath & body, paper goods, kids & babies, and holiday decor.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submissions must include a completed Holiday Exhibition Application Form (see below).
- An Appendix (see below) listing up to 10 pieces (or representative samples) must accompany the application. If selected, additional pieces may be considered. The appendix must include:
- A clear photo of each piece
- Title
- Size
- Medium
- Price (inclusive of a 30% gallery commission)
- All artwork must be ready to hang or display.
- Preference will be given to smaller works priced under $500, in a variety of price points.
- Selected artists and artisans are encouraged to replenish sold items during the exhibition.
- All items must be clearly labeled with the artists or company’s name.

Call for Artisans - Gallery Shop
- High quality, handmade items from local (BC) origin. No commercially produced items will be accepted
- Each item requires a proper label, tag or packaging with company name/artist name, content, product description, size and care instructions (if applicable)
Please note: This is not a vendor market (no tents or tables to set up). This is a Gallery Shop where staff and volunteers are responsible for merchandising and facilitating the sales.
Call for Artists - Pop-Up Gallery
Do you have a small collection of work you would like to display for sale? We are looking for 3D and 2D artwork that will fit into the built-in display case located in the City Hall lobby. Currently scheduling 2026 exhibitions.
Artwork will be showcased and available for sale. All sales will be facilitated by the Pitt Meadows Art Gallery.
Artist responsibilities:
- Fill out an Application, including Appendix A which lists available artwork (only list those pieces that will work within the space requirements)
- Artists are responsible for determining what pieces will fit into the dimensions (listed below)
- Provide display stands (if needed) as nothing can be attached to the walls
- Set-up and take down of their artwork on the pre-specified datesPMAG responsibilities:

The Pitt Meadows Art Gallery (PMAG) accepts submissions on an on-going basis for its six annual exhibitions and small dedicated Gallery Shop. PMAG is committed to supporting local and regional artists and artisans who would like to have their work featured in our beautiful gallery space located at the South Bonson Community Centre (10932 Barnston View Road).
We are looking for creative and interesting exhibition ideas from solo artists or a collaboration of multi-artists in all mediums for our 2026 schedule.
We welcome exhibition submissions with the following criteria:- All original visual art mediums including 2D and 3D
- All work must be exhibition ready; for 2D work it must be matted and framed, except gallery wrap canvas or stretched canvas, 3D work must have the appropriate supporting structures
- All work must have the appropriate hanging hardware; framed - wire, D-rings, screw eyes or sawtooth hangers. Canvas - D-rings or wires
- All work must be available for sale
- Artists under the age of 18 must provide a letter with parent/guardian consent
Artist responsibilities:- Fill out an Application including Appendix, which lists available artwork;
- Artist Bio, Artist Statement, High resolution images of each piece of artwork in the exhibition and image of artist
- Share marketing
PMAG responsibilities:
- Marketing

Exhibition Commission Structure
The Pitt Meadows Art Gallery follows a standard commission structure for pieces sold during exhibitions, with 70% of the sale going to the artist and 30% to the gallery. In addition to offering a beautiful exhibition space, the gallery provides a variety of services, including staff to curate and display the artwork, volunteers to manage daily operations, a point-of-sale system, coverage of credit card fees, packing materials, labels, and promotional materials (both print and digital). The gallery also handles marketing and social media, hosts an opening reception, and offers a virtual component for each exhibition.
