About the Artist

I am a mixed-media artist with an extensive background in quilt-making. I have repurposed my quilting design and construction knowledge as the foundation for my fibre art. Textiles are my preferred medium, using techniques such as applique, painting, collage, block printing, natural dyeing, and both machine and hand stitching, which provide endless possibilities for creating my artwork.

I began my fibre art journey later in life, starting after retiring in 2021 from a long career in the provincial public service. I am a self-taught artist, working in my home studio in Langley, B.C. My fibre art has been shown in exhibits at several local galleries.

Currently, my work is inspired by mid-century modernism and pop art, focusing on clean lines and a mix of organic and geometric shapes in vibrant colours.
