Thank you for your interest in hosting a special event in the City of Pitt Meadows!
The purpose of this application is to provide the City of Pitt Meadows with a summary of your event – whether it’s a marathon, bike race, fundraiser, or any type of event being held on City property – we can help with the safety and success of it.
Prior to an event being permitted, the Special Events Team will review your application in detail to ensure it meets our special event requirements and follows City bylaws before granting approval.
The event organizer is responsible to collect and retain a list of participants contact information in the event that a Provincial healthy authority needs to perform COVID-19 contact tracing. Event organizers must provide this list to the City of Pitt Meadows within 24 hours of the event taking place.
Depending on the type of event or requested location you may need to submit FURTHER INFORMATION such as:
Facility booking request – if you’re hoping to use a City of Pitt Meadows facility
Metro Van approval – if your event will be on the Pitt River Regional Greenway
Highway / Street use permit
Event organizers are encouraged to submit their applications at least two (2) months in advance. Events with secondary permits and approval requirements such as liquor licenses and road closures are encouraged to submit their application at least three (3) months in advance.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain any and all permits, licences and certificates that are required for this special event and to provide copies of this documentation to the City of Pitt Meadows prior to the event. The Special Event Coordinator will give you more details on any of these requirements once your application has been received.
