Notice of Intention to Amend City of Pitt Meadows Procedure Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 2816, 2018

Council will be considering adoption of an amendment to Procedure Bylaw 2690, 2015  (the bylaw which regulates procedures to be followed for the conduct of business at meetings of the Council) at the January 15, 2018 Regular Council Meeting commencing at 6:00 p.m.

A copy of the proposed City of Pitt Meadows Procedure Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 2816, 2018 can be viewed online or at Pitt Meadows City Hall during regular business hours (excluding statutory holidays).

The purpose is to amend City of Pitt Meadows Procedure Bylaw No. 2690, 2015 and update Council meeting procedures related to electronic attendance at regular, special or committee meetings.

It supports Council’s presence at meetings via electronic means recognizing that occasionally Council members need to be away from City Hall.  Some conditions apply such as limiting the number of Council members at any one time participating in a meeting electronically to three and limiting the total times anyone Council member can do so annually to four, except for emergent issues and emergency situations.  For more details, please refer to the proposed amending bylaw.
