Council Adopts New Committee Structure
Following a detailed review of the City’s committees conducted by George Cuff and Associates and governance roundtable where community feedback was sought, Council adopted a new structure. This structure utilizes an oversight committee which brings Council and the community together by facilitating two-way dialogue. The new structure will provide an opportunity for committees to bring priority items before Council in a less traditional, rigid and formal Council setting. Read the summary report.
Council Renames their Newest Committee as the Engagement & Priorities Committee
After considering community and staff feedback, Mayor and Council have decided the new name for the former Governance & Priorities Committee (GPC) will be the Engagement & Priorities Committee (EPC). For more information, please see the media release.
