Have you found a stray dog? Contact the Pitt Meadows Bylaw Services Department at 604-465-2428 ext. 2
- If you have picked up a stray dog and are comfortable with keeping the dog until the owner is found, it may stay with you until the owner is located or the owner calls the City looking for the dog.
- If you are unable to keep the dog, you can transport it to Coquitlam Animal Shelter or call Bylaw Services at 604.465.2428 ext. 2 to arrange pick up. Please note that Coquitlam Animal Shelter will accept stray dogs found in Pitt Meadows at their kennel; however, they do not pick up and transport stray dogs from Pitt Meadows.
Have you lost a dog? Contact Bylaw Services at 604-465-2428 ext. 2 to report the lost dog or contact Coquitlam Animal Shelter at 604-927-7387 to enquire if they have the dog.
Please be prepared to answer the following questions as best you can:
- Do you know where the dog lives or do you recognize the dog?
- If it has a dog tag, what is the number?
- Does it have a tattoo, what is that number?
