Infrastructure within the City of Pitt Meadows includes, but is not limited to, the physical components of our roads, bridges, water supply, sewer, and drainage. 

The City is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City Water System (domestic & fire protection), Sanitary Sewer System, Diking and Drainage System, and Road Network.   The provision of good quality drinking water, sewage treatment, solid waste collection, and drainage are everyday necessities provided to the public by the City of Pitt Meadows.

Our Infrastructure Inventory

Sewer, Storm, Drainage

The City of Pitt Meadows performs maintenance for:

  • 48.5km of sanitary sewer mains, with over 3000 sanitary connections
  • Eight (8) sewer lift stations to facilitate the transfer of sewage water to the Metro Vancouver sewer main for treatment
  • 176.7km of ditches with 736 culverts to ensure flow of water

The City is responsible for delivery of quality drinking water, as well as providing water supply for fire protection.

We maintain 477 fire hydrants and approximately 112.5 kilometres of water main pipes that deliver water to over 3,900 service connections.
