PITT MEADOWS, BC – City staff have been directed to seek the immediate removal of all clothing donation bins within the City of Pitt Meadows and place a temporary ban on all clothing bins within City limits until clothing bins no longer pose a threat to public safety.  

“We have concerns about the use of clothing bins in Pitt Meadows for public safety and humanitarian reasons,” says Mayor Bill Dingwall.  

This review follows recent fatalities connected to donation bins in West Vancouver and Toronto.  

Please don’t drop off donations outside of clothing bins.  Instead, clothing donations can be made at the following places:
