  • Masks are required entire visit to the facility, including during cardio.  
  • An informed consent must be signed upon a patrons first visit to the centre following new COVID-19 protocols. This signed agreement requires all users to follow City of Pitt Meadows COVID-19 protocols which now include mandatory masks in all indoor spaces, at ALL times. Disposable masks are available at customer service, if needed. This requirement is due to the implementation of an “Emergency Act in Place” mandating the requirement for wearing a mask in all public indoor and retail spaces. 
  • The current PHO order states that all indoor adult individual exercise participants of gyms, weight rooms, and fitness centres are required to pre-register timeslots. In order to book a time slot, please call 604-465-2470 and staff will assist. 
  • Workouts are limited to 90 Minutes.
  • Equipment has been physically distanced.
  • Maximum capacity of 25 patrons at a time.
  • Patrons will each recieve their own equipment disinfectant kit to spray down machines and surfaces before and after use.
  • No shower or change room access at this time.
  • Water bottle refill stations open. Water fountains closed.
Kids Gym ProgramOpenThe operation of this program aligns with school activities and daycares. Mask Wearing Regulations for Children:
11 years old and under: Recommended, but not required by the province, to be worn within our facilities and programs .

Group Fitness Programs

By Order of the Provincial Health Officer, effective March 29 at midnight until April 19, 2021 all formats of group fitness are restricted. The Pitt Meadows Family Rec Centre fitness centre and any one on one fitness training activities remain operational.
Any registered participants effected will be issued credits or refunds upon request.

Child & Youth Indoor and Outdoor Sport: All organized indoor and outdoor sports for people under 19 years of age must follow viaSport's Return to Sport Phase 2 guidance with respect to maintaining physical distance for participants. This means games, tournaments and competitions are temporarily suspended for teams. Individual drills and modified training activities can continue.

Adult Sport: All indoor and outdoor sports for people 19 years of age and older are suspended. Single play of outdoor Racquet sport (tennis, pickleball) is permitted, group or doubles are not.

Reminder of Prohibited Spectators: Under the order, no spectators are allowed at any sport activities.

Under the order, no spectators are allowed at any sport activities. The only people allowed to attend sport activities are those that provide care to a participant or player. For example, providing first aid. 

Travel to, from and between communities for team athletic activities like games, competitions, training and practice is prohibited.
