Cheryl has been in the fitness industry for 20 years, teaching at multiple gyms as a fitness and strength training coach. She specializes in group fitness, which includes spin class, boot camp, HIIT Training, and functional fitness training. Cheryl has a strong sports background and has taught dryland for different high-performance sports teams. When she is not teaching, Cheryl enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, CrossFit, and hiking with her two boys and dog.

Keren brings 20yrs+ experience and is a recognized and respected professional in both the dance and fitness field. Keren has actively taught in numerous dance schools and fitness locations across the lower mainland and is presently involved in teaching and building new dance and fitness programs for the city of Pitt Meadows and the Pitt Meadows Seniors Society. With BCRPA and CFES certifications, Keren  offers a wide range of classes from: Salsa, Latin Ballroom, Hip Hop for kids,  Dance Fit, Bollywood Workout,  African Workout, Mommy & Me Dancefit, Drumming Fitness, Core conditioning, Step, Chair fitness, Bootcamps, HIIT, Low Impact, for people of all ages. Sandi shares her passion of yoga with her life experiences and philosophy of asana on the mat by demonstrating compassion, wisdom, patience’s and humbleness. Her strength is recognizing we have the ability to make the ‘impossible possible’ when we open our minds to hear our inner self; this awareness allows us to relax, refresh, renew and trust. Sandi always has a smile of encouragement, words of affirmation, and you will be supported through your own yoga journey.

Crystal became a spin, strength, and intervals instructor because she loves group fitness! Even after achieving her certification in 2009, she maintained her status as "one of those die-hard participants". Participants tell us that I provide a really tough workout and they love my focus on technique.

Fran has been active in the fitness industry for over 20 years, developing a solid foundation of experience and knowledge. Fran enjoys sharing knowledge and enthusiasm as well as making a positive impact in a health conscious community.  Fran has been a familiar part of the Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge Recreation team since 2007, teaching a variety of group fitness classes, spinning and strength training programs. Fran continues to explore new avenues of fitness staying fresh with continued education courses throughout the year. Fran is BCRPA certified and specializes in functional exercise as it relates to everyday activities, occupational or recreational.  Whether you are new to exercise or would like to reach a new fitness goal, Fran is available to work with you, challenge you, encourage and motivate you to accomplish your individual goals.

Heidi has a life long pursuit of fitness, a passion for the outdoors and has enjoyed teaching group fitness classes for 20+yrs. Heidi is BCRPA certified in many different formats and can help you achieve whatever fitness goal you are looking for.  You will see Heidi teaching various cardio formats, step, high/low Impact, muscle sculpting, Pilates and yoga. She enjoys seeing her clients/participants happy, as they improve their overall health and fitness levels, as well as how they feel physically and mentally . Fitness is a journey that  improves the quality of life and this makes Heidi happy to help others.

Jillian brings over 12 years of fitness industry experience to her group fitness classes. As a former YMCA Trainer of Trainers, she has extensive knowledge in multiple styles of fitness such as Pilates, Dance, Body Pump and Spin. As an entertainer, she brings high energy, excitement and motivation to her fitness classes and participants. It is her goal to ensure fitness is challenging and achievable for all.

Joanna, RYT - HathaJoanna - RYT – Yoga and Wellness Instructor

Jo’s personal practice evolved from a background in classical dance. Though flowing and moving the body is a natural state of being for her, she was originally drawn to the practice meditation and mindfulness. From there, a love and study of the 8 limbs of yoga evolved. The forever student, she continues to delve into her personal practice in order to become a better teacher. Her classes will challenge the body with artful and dynamic sequences leaving you feeling grounded and centered. Come join her on the mat for some movement medicine. Be prepared to sweat, breathe and let it all go! 

Kim, Registered Yoga TeacherKim - RYT – Yoga and Wellness Instructor
(Meditation, Mindfulness and Wellness, Dance and Movement)
Kim was first introduced to yoga by her mother and formally trained by Gertrude and Magda Hanova, with a variety of seasoned yoga instructors throughout the Lower Mainland.   In the 90’s Kim took workshops with Beryl Bender Birch, the founder of Power Yoga and taught many years in Vancouver then moving to Maple Ridge in 2007.  Kim was involved in the formation of Yoga BC, the precursor of Canadian Yoga Alliance. Kim is a RYT and CYA Member who now teaches Hatha Flow, Yoga Basics and Restorative Yoga.  As a meditation instructor, Kim's style of Yoga is classic, relying on breath, fluidity, curiosity and mindfulness.  She also offers specialty workshops called “Off the Grid Yoga” which combines her love of yoga, her passion for dance and improvised movement and her training in energetics and meditation.

A Registered BCRPA Fitness Leader for 35 years, and a BCRPA Supervisor of Fitness Leaders with Group Fitness, Weight Training, Osteofit, Older Adult and  Yoga. Lori focuses on the Older Adult population including areas of specialty Group Fitness classes such as those with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Stroke, Heart Disease, Anxiety and Depression. Lori works with all levels from the fit 50+ older adult to the very frail. As a BCRPA Supervisor of Fitness Leaders, Lori mentor's and evaluates new incoming Fitness Leaders as well as Leaders who want to continues with their Fitness Leadership skills. Also, Lori is the Activities Coach for Choose to Move and the Active Age Programs.

I have been teaching group fitness classes for fifteen years.  My passion is coaching and mentoring and I have had the pleasure of working with group fitness apprentices over the years to help them feel confident and comfortable in front of a class setting. I have really enjoyed teaching the fitness leadership modules to students as a YMCA Trainer as well. I teach all forms of dryland classes from Step, Sculpt, Tabata, Bootcamps, Low Impact, and of course my passion, which is Spinning.
