Pitt Polder Ecological Reserve is an area managed by BC Parks. This reserve protects a granite outcrop surrounded by the typical marshes which once occupied most of this area. Mammals commonly seen include Black Bear, Black-Tailed Deer and various bats. A variety of waterfowl and songbirds occur here as well as an astounding array of plants, small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, insects and other invertebrates.
