It is our goal to create a program with your child’s wellbeing being our top priority. We adhere to a strict code of conduct to ensure the safety of all participants. If your child(ren) are not following the code of conduct we will follow up with parents at pick up time, if your child is being picked up by another authorized person we will phone home after the programs completion to discuss the behaviours.
If at any point during the program the actions of your child pose a risk to the safety and wellbeing of themselves, other participants, the public, or staff you will be contacted and asked to immediately pick up your child. If you are not able to personally do so you will need to arrange for an authorized individual to pick up your child.
If negative behaviour is ongoing, your child will be placed under a behavioural contract. A behavioural contract states that the child must follow specific rules or he/she will not be able to continue attending the program. Repeated instances may result in your child being removed from the program indefinitely.

Can My Child Join Pre-Teen Rec If They Are Under 10?

On a case by case instance an exception may be made which entails a one week trial period where children will sign in with KIDS Gym and will be transferred over to Pre-Teen rec once they are back from the school pick-up. Leaders will assess if he/she is a fit for the Pre-Teen Rec age group, after the week trial completes.

What Does a Typical Pre-Teen Rec Day Look LIke?

Your child will be supervised, with this age group facilitating the following on their own: bathroom/water breaks, walk over authorization and sign in. The afternoon will start in the gymnasium playing any sport or activity decided on by the group, achieving 1-1.5 hours of physical activity. Following the active component, participants will have the option of  continuing inside the gym or participating in lounge activities such as: pool, table tennis, foosball, homework, or video games. Our leaders will rotate between the two areas to ensure that all of the participants are safe and engaged.
