The Legion will return to the cenotaph in šxʷhék̓ ʷnəs (Spirit Square) on Monday, November 11 for a Remembrance Day ceremony to honour those who have served and continue to serve to defend peace. Veterans and officials will march through šxʷhék̓ ʷnəs (Spirit Square) starting at 10:45 a.m., ending at the cenotaph. There will be a reception in the Recreation Centre lobby following the ceremony.

If members of the community would like to lay a wreath on Remembrance Day, they are asked to please bring it to the cenotaph by 10 a.m. and make sure it is picked up before dusk. If you would like to purchase a wreath please contact the Legion office at 604.463.5101

Please note: There is no seating available during the ceremony. Reserved chairs are for veterans and those requiring accessible seating only.

Poppies will be available to purchase by donation from Pitt Meadows City Hall starting Monday, October 27. Poppies are worn as a tribute to our veterans with all money raised from their sale to help local veterans and their families.

Flags at City facilities will be flown at half-mast in honour of Veterans' Week, Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day from the morning of Friday, November 7 until the morning of Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (please note: the flags at šxʷhék̓ ʷnəs (Spirit Square) will be lowered during the Remembrance Day Ceremony).
