Jennie Cole is a Pitt Meadows resident who both works and lives in the city. She holds a degree in art education, a master’s degree in education, and has also taken fine art classes at the University of British Columbia and Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Jennie grew up in North Vancouver but has lived in Pitt Meadows for more than 30 years.

Her love of landscapes is inspired by the nature and beauty of where she lives and the places she has travelled. Jennie enjoys creating and exploring new ideas, and often combines traditional craft techniques such as felting, embroidery, thread painting, quilting and fabric dyeing (particularly ice dyeing) with other fibre arts when creating her artwork. She also has a strong interest in drawing and painting and aims to blur the boundaries between fine art and traditional craft.

Jennie loves learning new techniques and exploring different ways to develop new concepts.
