Every Child Matters. Recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day by wearing orange this September 30. The City of Pitt Meadows acknowledges this day and will be lighting up City Hall in orange the evening of September 30 in recognition.

Orange Shirt Day was created by the Orange Shirt Day Society to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation. The date has now been made an official statutory holiday this year as the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
