Ponies, rider and faithful dog on a warm, summer day heading over the last hill to home.  My son, his Haflinger ponies, Jack Russell terrier and myself lagging behind, enjoying the sight.

Bev is a White Rock, B.C. artist who works in oils, acrylics, watercolours

and pastels.  Sunlit autumn scenes, golden evening light, trees and water

are her favourite subjects. She also likes to paint old buildings with a

sense of mystery, intrigued with their past and the people who lived in

them. Bev strives to capture the feeling of a place using impressionistic

colour and rearranging the scene to produce a mood, rather than a

realistic depiction.

Bev grew up in northern British Columbia and moved to Vancouver

Island after attending U.B.C.  She studied art at the University of Victoria

and Malaspina College and worked in watercolour for many years.

For the past five years she has worked mainly in acrylics and pastels.

Bev exhibits with The Fraser Valley Chapter, Federation of Canadian

Artists, Pastel Artists Canada and at the Federation Gallery, Granville Island.
