Watering restrictions extended to Oct 31

Archived

Updated October 6, 2022 -  Metro Vancouver has extended Stage 1 lawn and garden watering restrictions until October 31 due to warm and dry weather. Watering regulations have changed for 2022 to limit residential and non-residential watering to one day per week in order to better conserve the region's drinking water during warmer, dryer months.

Starting May 1, residents and businesses can only water lawns on specific days and times:

Stage 1: residential lawn watering allowed

  • Even-numbered addresses: Saturday mornings
  • Odd-numbered addresses: Sunday mornings
  • Automatic watering: 5am to 7am
  • Manual watering: 6am to 9am

Stage 1: non-residential lawn watering allowed

  • Even-numbered addresses: Monday mornings
  • Odd-numbered addresses: Tuesday mornings
  • Automatic watering: 4am to 6am
  • Manual watering: 6am to 9am

Water restrictions are set region-wide by Metro Vancouver. For more information, visit pittmeadows.ca/waterrestrictions or metrovancouver.org/lawns.
