Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park had been a must on my bucket list for many years. Finally one year while camping at Lake Louise we were lucky enough to be able to visit the area. Needless to say upon arrival it was everything and more that I had envisioned and took many photos for reference material back in my studio. This painting is my depiction of my day at Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park. The color of the water and the drizzle over the lake lent mood to this already beautiful and striking area. |
Heidi is primarily a representational and realistic artist who has been
pursuing her passion for over 30 years.
While spending many years in pursuit of mastering watercolours she
is now focused on the medium of oils, finding that the move from one
to the other was seamless and natural.
She selects subject matter where light and shadow are a strong factor
and injects each painting with rich color and deep values.
