Laurie Thomasson is a BC born Langley artist who began painting after
retiring from teaching. This retirement hobby quickly turned into a passion
that is still going strong after 18 years. Colour, light, and textures are what
inspire her bold, vibrant florals and landscapes. Trying new materials
and techniques keeps the passion alive. Her style is moving from
representational watercolour, acrylic, and oil paintings to more abstracted,
impressionistic work in mixed media using a variety of tools. She sees
herself as a life-long learner and knows that new challenges will continue to
excite her on this art journey.
