Updated June 17, 2025 – Warning: The City continues to receive reports of coyotes spotted in Harris Road Park as well throughout the urban areas of Pitt Meadows. Coyotes are a natural part of our environment, and it's important that we take measures to live safely alongside them.
- Keep pets leashed. Coyotes can perceive pets on and off leash as a potential threat or prey.
- Keep children supervised at all times.
- Never feed coyotes, and don't leave food or garbage outside.
- Make noise and make yourself appear large if one approaches.
