Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Hub at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park

Project Summary

The City of Pitt Meadows, in partnership with BC Hydro, has developed a new EV charging hub as part of BC Hydro’s expanding provincial public charging network. With more than 600 electric vehicles registered in Pitt Meadows today, demand for convenient and reliable charging continues to grow, particularly for residents who live in multi-unit buildings where on-site charging may not be available. The charging hub supports park visitors while also serving local residents. This project reflects a commitment by the City to support the expansion of reliable EV charging and the transition to cleaner transportation, as mentioned in the City's Climate Action Strategy.

Community Benefits

The EV charging hub supports multiple community needs by providing charging access for park visitors, residents without home charging options, and drivers visiting Pitt Meadows. As electric vehicle adoption continues to grow, projects delivered in partnership with BC Hydro help ensure local infrastructure keeps pace with changing transportation patterns while contributing to climate and transportation goals.
