The City is committed to supporting active transportation and creating a community where walking, cycling and other modes of travel are safe, convenient and accessible for all residents. As part of this commitment, the City is introducing public bike repair stations across Pitt Meadows. These self-serve bike repair stations provide residents and visitors with access to basic tools needed for on-the-go repairs. Each station will include tools for maintaining and repairing bicycles, as well as scooters, e-scooters and strollers, helping users stay mobile while commuting, recreating or travelling along city routes.

The rollout of the public bike repair stations will take place in phases, with the first five installations scheduled to be completed in time for Go By Bike Week from May 30 - June 5, 2026.  Additional updates regarding installation timelines will be shared as the project progresses.

Bike repair stations will be placed along key active transportation corridors throughout the city. Planned locations include popular trail systems such as:

  • Shoreline Park along the Pitt River Regional Greenway
  • Pitt Meadows Athletic Park
  • Civic Centre
  • Harris Road Park
  • Menzies Park

These locations ensure easy access and maximum benefit for residents and visitors. View repair station map.

This initiative aligns with the City’s commitment to active transportation and supports the Climate Action Strategy by encouraging alternatives to vehicle travel. By making cycling and other low-impact transportation options more convenient, the City aims to reduce reliance on cars, lower greenhouse gas emissions and promote healthy, sustainable travel choices. Public bike repair stations also enhance safety, reduce barriers to cycling and help keep the community moving.

Partnership Support

The City would like to thank Amazon for their generous support of this project. Their contribution helps make these upgrades possible and supports shared goals of sustainability, reduced car trips and improved community mobility.

Final locations and installation updates will be shared soon—stay tuned as the City continues to invest in infrastructure that supports a healthier, more connected Pitt Meadows.

Our Climate Action Strategy

The strategy is organized into six theme areas, with actions, initiatives and goals for future progress, and how the City will measure success.
