June 15, 2026 - Beginning Monday, June 22, 2026, soil hauling activities will commence for the Pitt Meadows Secondary School Replacement Project located at 19438 116B Avenue, Pitt Meadows.
Residents can expect increased truck traffic along the designated haul route. Please note that a pedestrian closure will also be in effect. Details regarding the truck route and pedestrian impacts are provided below.
Details of the work:
- Truck Route: Trucks will enter Pitt Meadows from Airport Way travelling northbound on Bonson Road, then westbound on Hammond Road, and southbound on Blakely Road to the site. From the site, departing trucks will travel eastbound on 116B Avenue, then southbound on Bonson Road, and return to Airport Way.
- Duration: Soil hauling is anticipated to be completed by October 31, 2026.

- Pedestrian Access: Construction activities will require the closure of the southeast stairway serving the site. A detour route will be in place, as shown in the detour map below.
- Duration: The stairway closure will remain in effect for the duration of the project, with construction currently anticipated to be complete in 2029.
