About the Artist

Born in British Hong Kong and now based in Coquitlam, Wing Yee Wong is an illustrator, painter and potter who took the scenic route back to art. She briefly tasted the sweet life of art school in the early ‘90s, studying graphic design and pottery in Kowloon before life took her in a different direction. After earning a BSc from SFU and a 25-year detour, she found her way back to the creative path.
These days, you’ll find Wing doodling on her iPad, painting outdoors with watercolours or acrylics, or getting her hair gloriously muddy in the pottery studio. Her work is bright, simple and made to spark joy!
She makes art with heart, humour and just the right amount of chaos.
