While the building no longer exists, this one and one-half storey, wood-frame house had a side gabled roof and a large shed roof dormer. It had retained a number of original elements, including its wooden drop siding, original double-hung 5-over-1 wooden sash windows, and front door. Set on a large property, it retained a rural setting with mature trees including copper beech, willow and maples. The name of this road recalls the location of the old ferry service that connected Pitt Meadows to the west side of the Pitt River, prior to the car bridge being opened in 1914. This site, and the adjacent properties, are owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
