This house is significant for its association with Frank V. Harris (1875-1940), an early settler in Pitt Meadows, who built this residence on land previously owned by his father, Wellington Jeffers Harris. The elder Harris had arrived in Pitt Meadows in 1873, with his wife Mary Jane and Frank following several years later. Frank Harris worked as a farmer, and served as a trustee on the Pitt Meadows School Board between 1918 and 1939. Built sometime about 1912, Harris’ house is a two-storey front gabled, wood-frame structure with shed roof wall dormers. It has retained its double-hung wooden sash windows and horizontal siding.
