November 15, 2021 - Please be advised that BC Hydro has issued a Flood Alert notification for the Alouette Dam as it reached freecrest levels. With the continuing heavy rains, BC Hydro has moved from a controlled spill, which began yesterday to an uncontrolled release this afternoon. The water flow will start to increase from around noon today and is anticipated to peak by late Monday evening.

People living downstream of the South Alouette should activate their emergency preparedness plans and be ready to evacuate if conditions worsen. All residents need to stay away from the banks of the river, especially minding children and pets as water is running swiftly and high.
