May 19, 2025 (8:40 a.m.) - Environment Canada has issued 4 highway alerts and special weather statements calling for wet snow near highway summits from today (Monday) to Tuesday. See Environment Canada website for latest updates. Road conditions are also available at drivebc.ca.
Highway alerts include:
- Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt
- Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass
- Coquihalla Highway - Merritt to Kamloops
- Okanagan Connector - Merritt to Kelowna
If residents or visitors of Pitt Meadows are using the above highways to return to the city, please be cautious and prepared to adjust your driving, as weather conditions at high elevations can change quickly. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
