Pitt Meadows is a dog-friendly city, but in order to keep the community safe and enjoyable for everyone, we enforce a Dog Control Bylaw. The City of Pitt Meadows requires dogs over six months old to be licensed on an annual basis. The City also responds to noise complaints about barking dogs, and will investigate and attend to complaints from the public regarding animal control. Dog Licensing
All dog owners in Pitt Meadows are required to license any dog over six months old. Licence renewal forms are mailed to owners mid-November or you can renew or apply for your dog's licence via your mypittmeadows.com online account. The dog license application form is also available for download. Please forward completed applications to City Hall (12007 Harris Rd., Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 2B5) or stop by during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30pm, except statutory holidays). Be sure to include any related documentation regarding spayed / neutered status.
