Pitt Meadows staff will be at the Pitt Meadows Athletic Park, under the tent, (11431 Bonson Road) on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:00am – 11:00am to obtain community feedback which will assist the City in developing our Engagement Policy and Framework.

PM Airport - Board Meeting

The Pitt Meadows Regional Airport Board of Directors (BOD) meetings are now open for the public. The BOD meetings will be at 7pm and they are expected to take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The initial plan is to alternate BOD meeting locations between Pitt Meadows City Hall (12007 Harris Road) and Maple Ridge City Hall (11995 Haney Place).

Bike to Work Week is a community event to celebrate bike commuting across Metro Vancouver!

Visit over 45 Celebration Stations offering free drinks, snacks, bike mechanic services and great prizes.  Why register?  Along with winning more prizes, your logged trips help with local leaders to improve cycling infrastructure in your communities. 

Emergency Preparedness - What Seniors Need to Know

The Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie Seniors Network is partnering with our local Fire Department and City Emergency Program staff to host an informative session to help older adults prepare themselves for a major disaster.

Seniors and individuals with physical disabilities may have special needs to consider in the event of an emergency. The best way to ensure you are able to cope is to plan ahead.  Fire fighters will provide information on fall prevention, smoke alarms and provide a tour of the Fire Hall.

Refreshments will be provided.

On October 19 at 10:19 am, millions of people worldwide will practice how to “Drop, Cover and Hold On” during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills. British Columbians can join by registering for the 2017 Great British Columbia ShakeOut.

The City of Pitt Meadows is developing a Civic Engagement Policy and Framework. This work will create processes to enable us to work with the public on decision making and grow a culture of public participation in the community.

Pitt Meadows residents are invited to attend one of four community input sessions to help us create this framework.

This year, our annual OPEN HOUSE will be taking place on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Fire Hall located at 19240 122A Avenue in Pitt Meadows from 10am – 2pm. 

This year we are featuring displays from the BC Ambulance Service, SAR, RCMP, CPR Police, the Pitt Meadows Emergency Management Program, and the Pitt Meadows Fire Rescue Service.

Mayor Becker will be at coffee shops and venues around Pitt Meadows on Saturday mornings.  Pitt Meadows citizens are invited to 5-10 minute one-on-one visits to discuss issues that are important to you.

Agricultural Advisory Committee - Cancelled

Please note that the AAC Meeting schedule for October 12, 2017 has been cancelled.

The Agricultural Advisory Committee advises Council and staff on matters related to agriculuture in the community which may include comprehensive reviews of agriculture-related policies, plans and development proposals using the City of Pitt Meadows Agriculture Plan and its Official Community Plan as a guide. 

The Agriculture Advisory Committee meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at City Hall at 10:00am; there are no meetings in July and August.
