Athletic Park West Racquet Court Closure

Archived

Updated September 12, 2022 – Please be advised that the west sports racquet court at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park is scheduled to be completed later this week. The courts are currently curing and will be ready for play on Thursday, September 15. The closure signs and construction fencing will be removed once the court surface is cured and ready for play.

The Pitt Meadows Athletic Park west racquet court will be closed for resurfacing, painting and installation of permanent nets to accommodate six dedicated pickleball courts. For safety, park users are reminded to stay off the courts until the project is complete. The court requires time for curing and could take longer based on weather conditions.

For tennis players, the east racquet tennis court is expected to reopen on July 18. We are reminding the public not to chalk or mark the newly resurfaced racquet courts as this could cause permanent damage during the curing process.

The City is excited about the development of dedicated pickleball courts in our community, and we ask for your patience during this transition. Regular indoor pickleball drop-in will still take place at Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre.
