November 5, 2025 - Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning in effect for Metro Vancouver - northeast including Pitt Meadows. Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
- When: Beginning Wednesday, November 5 and continuing through Thursday night.
- What: 40 to 70 mm of rain is expected.
Details and reminders:
- Back to back low pressure systems are taking aim at the BC South Coast. The first system will be tracking through the region today and tonight with the next system arriving Thursday mid day.
- Amounts will vary across the region; total rainfall amounts by Thursday morning will likely range between 40 to 70 mm with an additional 30 to 40 mm possible by Friday morning. The heaviest rainfall can be expected tonight and Thursday evening.
- Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.
- Allow extra time for travel.
- Help clear storm drains of leaves and debris to prevent flooding and allow proper drainage.
- City crews have been preparing for storm season by lowering ditch levels, checking pump stations and ensuring systems are ready for heavy rain.
