December 19, 2025 8:00 a.m. – A series of storms over the south coast of B.C. has brought heavy of rain and wind to the region. City crews are monitoring drainage systems, river levels, dikes and pump stations. This notice will be updated as information changes.
Current Advisories:
- The Flood Watch for tributaries of the Lower Fraser has ended. Watch for updates from the BC River Forecast Centre for future conditions.
- Rainfall warnings and wind warnings have ended.
- Environment Canada has issued Highway Alerts and travel advisories for the region.
How residents can prepare:
- Clear leaves and debris from gutters and catch basins near your home.
- Water may pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Avoid walking, cycling or driving through flooded areas.
- Stay away from rivers, creeks, fast-moving water and unstable banks, and keep children close and pets on leash near water and trails.
- Report downed trees, debris, or blocked storm drains at pittmeadows.ca/report.
