BC RCMP has announced that the former integrated Ridge Meadows RCMP Detachment has officially transitioned to two fully autonomous detachments, serving the City of Maple Ridge and the City of Pitt Meadows.
“On behalf of City Council, we are proud to see this important evolution in policing for our community,” says Pitt Meadows Mayor Nicole MacDonald. “The establishment of two autonomous detachments marks a significant step forward, allowing for more dedicated resources, enhanced local oversight and a stronger focus for each community. This transition supports more responsive, effective policing services that are better aligned with the unique needs and priorities of Pitt Meadows—helping to build a safer, more connected community for years to come.”
The newly constructed Pitt Meadows RCMP Detachment’s location and contact information are as follows:
- Address: 12486 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y 2J4
- Non-Emergency Line: 778-670-9010
- As Pitt Meadows’ new RCMP detachment completes its transition, front counter police services are available at the Community Policing Office located behind City Hall at 104-12027 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows. The public will be notified once front counter services transfer to the new detachment.
