The City of Pitt Meadows is updating Development Cost Charges (DCCs) for roads, sanitary sewer, water, drainage, and parks.

DCCs are fees collected from developers to offset some of the expenditures incurred in servicing infrastructure and parks as a result of new development. These costs are driven by anticipated growth and do not include costs to maintain current infrastructure that serves the existing population. The City has identified roads, sanitary, water, drainage, and parks projects that need to be constructed to support the additional demands generated by new residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and agricultural development.

The City is proposing new DCC rates at a 1% Municipal Assist Factor. An overview of the program and proposed DCC rates were presented to Council on March 12, 2024.
