Permit Required for Fall Agricultural Burning

October 1, 2025 - The fall burning season is open, effective September 26 until November 30, 2025. Burning of vegetative matter is allowed on agriculturally zoned properties only with a City permit and approval from Metro Vancouver.

How to obtain a burning permit

Residents are reminded that open wood burning is not permitted at anytime, anywhere in urban areas in Pitt Meadows (per Bylaw No.2688). This includes outdoor fireplaces and cooking pits. Propane and natural gas are permitted.
