The Pitt Meadows Art Gallery is proud to exhibit Richard Brodeurs’ artwork in his second exhibition with the Gallery. “King Richard” is a well-known professional hockey goaltender for a number of NHL teams, including the Vancouver Canucks. Throughout his hockey career, he found solitude in his busy and hectic schedule through his love of painting. His collection includes his nostalgic, folk-art style artwork, which depicts his fond memories of playing hockey on homemade ice rinks in the neighbourhoods of Quebec, and his bold and contemporary works, which capture the natural beauty of our Canadian landscapes.
