Baynes Pump Station Upgrade: Road and Trail Impacts

Updated June 25, 2026 - Primary construction activities for the Baynes Drainage Pump Station Upgrade, located southeast of the intersection of Baynes Road and Airport Way, is anticipated to begin during the week of July 6, 2026.

In advance of major construction, preliminary environmental and site preparation activities are scheduled the week of June 29. Residents may notice some activity in the area during this time, and temporary impacts to trail users in the vicinity may occur.

Throughout construction, residents may experience increased traffic near the Baynes Road and Airport Way intersection. A pedestrian detour will be in place on the Trans Canada Trail. Cyclists are asked to use caution, watch for pedestrians and dismount when travelling near the fenced work area. Please refer to the map below.
